About the captain

Jeff Keen has spent his life fishing the waters off Holland on Lake Michigan. With over 20 years of experience in the charter fishing industry, Jeff brings a deep knowledge of the lake and a passion for helping others enjoy it. He began his career as a first mate for several local captains in the Holland and Saugatuck areas and has been running charters as a captain out of Holland since 2013.

Jeff’s approach to charter fishing is rooted in preparation, safety, and creating a great experience for every guest. His commitment includes:

• Constantly monitoring weather and fishing conditions
• Staying up-to-date on the latest techniques and productive baits
• Sharing his passion for fishing and boating with guests of all ages
• Maintaining certifications in First Aid and CPR
• Being fully licensed and inspected by the U.S. Coast Guard

Jeff has been married for 22 years and values time with his family as much as time on the water. During the off-season, he serves as an assistant principal at a local high school, where he enjoys working with students and building relationships. His background in education, combined with his love for the outdoors, makes each trip both engaging and memorable.
